Alumni Merchandise is managed by the Office of Advancement. If you have any questions about our products or an order you have placed, you may reach us by email at alumserv@queensu.ca or by calling 1-800-267-7837. 

Proceeds from the sale of Alumni Merchandise are used to support alumni programming on campus and around the world.

Shipping and Handling

Diploma and photo frames are assembled and shipped directly by Tempo Framing Systems, located in Pickering, Ontario. Orders generally take 3 to 4 weeks to ship within North America, but may take up to two weeks longer between May and July.

Queen's lamps and chairs are manufactured and shipped directly by Standard Chair of Gardner, located in Gardner, Massachusetts. Orders generally take 5 to 6 weeks to ship within North America. Rush orders are available for an additional charge. These orders are processed at the Canada/U.S. border by Thompson, Ahern & Co. Ltd. Customs duties on these orders are the responsibility of Queen's University. The customer should not be required to pay these charges.

All other items are shipped from the Alumni Relations office at Queen's University. We make every effort to fulfill all orders within 1 week of receipt.

Overseas Orders

If you wish to place an order to be shipped overseas, please contact us and we will provide you with a shipping and handling quote before processing your order. The Alumni Merchandise website only accepts orders shipped within North America.

Return Policy

Most orders are fully refundable (excluding shipping & handling fees) within 90 days if returned in their original condition. Custom engraved lamps and chairs are not refundable.

Return postage must be paid by the customer for orders shipped to the United States.

If you receive a damaged frame shipped within Canada, please re-seal it in its original packaging and contact the Alumni Relations at contact the Alumni Relations to request a "Return to Sender" form. Once you have received your form, you can print it and bring it with your frame to the nearest postal outlet. Alumni Relations will ensure that a replacement is sent to you at no additional charge.

How to Frame Your Diploma

Our frames are made in Canada by Tempo Framing Systems using eco-friendly materials under fair labour conditions.

Every frame is shipped with a set of instructions, and no special tools are required. 

Instructions:

  1. Press down and rotate clips to release them from the frame. 
  2. Lift out the hardboard back and mat. 
  3. Expose the adhesive on the back of the mat by removing the protective strips.
  4. Centre the mat right side up over the image to be framed and gently press down along adhesive strips to secure image. 
  5. Turn the matted image over and further anchor the image in place with a piece of tape. Insert the matted image into the frame. 
  6. Replace the hardboard back and return the clips to their original locked position. 
  7. Hang the framed image horizontally or vertically from the opening molded into the clips.
